At STC, we've been committed to a more transparent, connected, and efficient retail environment for years. Today, we're taking a decisive step in that direction: we're announcing our strategic alliance with Tappr , a leader in Digital Product Passport (DPP) solutions.
Together, we launched DPP 360° , a solution that integrates our RFID technologies with the power of DPP to offer brands complete product traceability and a completely new digital consumer experience. Because for us, data isn't just an operational tool: it's the key to generating real value in every interaction.
A solution designed for tomorrow's retail
DPP 360º is not just a regulatory compliance tool. It's a value lever that transforms every product into a vibrant digital experience. Through a simple scan, the consumer accesses:
-
Complete traceability: from materials to each phase of production, distribution, and sales.
-
Authentic brand storytelling : Each item tells its own story, aligned with the brand's values.
-
Circular economy and sustainability : useful information for product care, recycling, or second life.
-
Personalized content : from style recommendations to exclusive offers or loyalty programs.
All this in a modular, dynamic, and fully customizable format. Because each brand connects differently, and each consumer has their own way of relating to what they buy.
Why this alliance?
At STC, we've always understood that technology must serve the experience. Our RFID systems go beyond logistics: they transform points of sale into interactive, connected, and efficient spaces.
Tappr shares that same vision. Its DPP platform not only meets regulatory requirements but also opens up new opportunities for connecting brands and consumers.
This collaboration allows us to create a unique ecosystem, prepared for the future of retail, where traceability becomes an added value for the brand and a useful tool for the customer.
"At STC, we believe the future of retail is linked to traceability and sustainability. That's why we're collaborating with Tappr, which combines its Digital Product Passport solution with our RFID solutions, creating a perfect synergy for retailers.
Together, we are offering a powerful set of tools to help brands respond to new consumer expectations.”
Xavi Garcia, CEO of STC
“I am very excited about our new collaboration with STC. Their deep expertise in RFID and their strong presence in the retail sector in Spain and Portugal align perfectly with our vision at Tappr. We share a commitment to providing real and lasting value to both brands and consumers.”
By combining STC's local knowledge and technology with our Digital Product Passport platform, we're creating truly connected product experiences."
Bas van der Pol, CEO of Tappr
Beyond regulations: leading the change towards sustainable and connected retail
The ESPR regulation is already underway. Starting in 2027, the Digital Product Passport will be mandatory for many products sold in the EU, with textiles being one of the first categories affected.
Brands must demonstrate, in a verifiable manner, compliance with environmental, social, and traceability criteria throughout the entire value chain.
At STC , we don't wait for regulations to catch up with us. We anticipate, prepare, and help brands turn this obligation into an opportunity to stand out, differentiate themselves, and better connect with their customers.
The transformation has already begun. And we're ready.
ESPR Update: Priorities and Key Dates
This is just the beginning
We continue to drive the digital transformation of retail in Spain, Portugal, and beyond. And we do so with the same conviction with which we began: technology should connect, not complicate.
We are convinced that this step will mark a before and after in the way we understand the product, the brand, and the consumer.
Do you want to lead the change with us?
We are ready.
